Main Car Park in centre of village (see LDNPA).
WARNING: Do not discard Pay & Display ticket (keep for a month).
Comments on Tripadvisor.com say there have been parking fines issued even when tickets had been purchased. So keep ticket to prove parking payment.
Primary school (south end of Main Street) has up to about 25 parking places (available outside of school hours), with honesty box.
Supports local school, with suggested donation of
£3 for up to 3 hours, and £5 for all day. However this car park can get full quickly.
Nearest free parking is 2.4km (1.5 miles) North of Hawkshead, on bend North of Outgate (see streetview). |
